Manhattan, NY – One of New York’s finest architectural firms enlisted the services of CellarMaker to design a 2,000 bottle cellar for an avid collector of wine. Our client has the world’s largest bottle of wine and wanted to incorporate it in the overall design of his cellar. The wood selected was an African mahogany with a stain to match their existing woodwork in the house. This cellar had existing stone walls that had to be accommodated in the rack design. CellarMaker was also asked to design a one of a kind stemware storage system to house 120 Riedel wine glasses. Each of the drawers are 38” deep and contain 500lb glides to allow for proper structural support. The tops of the drawers act as counters to allow more surface area for tastings.
